From Basic to Bespoke

This powder room was transformed from a simple, understated space into a custom statement interior centered around hand-applied finishes and warm metallic details. The walls feature gold leaf sheets layered with Venetian plaster, creating an intentionally organic, distressed finish where areas of luminous gold emerge through the soft white plaster. Rather than a repetitive wallpaper pattern, the hand-applied technique gives every wall a unique texture and variation, allowing the surface to change character as it catches light from different angles. The custom wall treatment is complemented by a marble vanity, brushed-gold fixtures, geometric mirror, contemporary wall sconce, and crystal ring chandelier. Large-format marble-look flooring grounds the room while allowing the gold-leaf walls to remain the focal point. The result is a small powder room with an unexpectedly dramatic presence—part modern luxury, part handcrafted artistry.
